3rd Pan-GASS Meeting Understanding and Modeling Atmospheric Processes

Jul 25 - 29, 2022 | Monterey, CA, USA

Sponsorship

Introduction

The Global Energy and Water Exchages (GEWEX) program, a core project of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP), is dedicated to understanding Earth’s water cycle and energy fluxes at and below the surface and in the atmosphere. GEWEX is a network of scientists gathering information on the global water and energy cycles through research, observations, and science activities, which will help to predict changes in the world’s climate. The Global Atmospheric System Studies (GASS) Panel, one of GEWEX’s four panels, facilitates and supports the international community that carries out and uses observations, process studies, and numerical model experiments with the goal of advancing the understanding and prediction of weather and climate. Primarily, GASS coordinates scientific projects that bring together experts to contribute to the physical understanding of atmospheric processes and their representation in weather and climate models. The 3rd Pan-GASS Meeting, Understanding and Modeling Atmospheric Processes (UMAP 2022), is articulated around four main themes, which lay at the heart of GASS activities. It aims to bring together weather and climate scientists, including both observationalists and modelers, to discuss the key issues of atmospheric science.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The 3rd Pan-GASS meeting budget essentially consists of registration fees and contributions by sponsors. Sponsorship received for the meeting will be channeled into reducing registration fees as well as offering financial assistance to support the attendance of PhD students, early career scientists, and scientist from lesser developed countries. We invite you to become a sponsor for the 3rd Pan-GASS Meeting, Understanding and Modeling Atmospheric Processes and help facilitate the attendance of scientists who otherwise may not be able to participate. There are four categories of sponsorship, described below.
 Platinum  25,000 USD or more
 Gold  15,000–25,000 USD
 Silver  5,000–15,000 USD
