GoGet has four cars available on the Kensington Campus:

  • Two cars are located on Gate Avenue, near Gate 2 Avenue (B8). To access this location from outside UNSW, use Gate 2.
  • One car and one van are located in the Gate 8 car park, near the Morven Brown building (C20). If you are coming from outside the University this car is best accessed via Gate 8 on High Street.

Driving and parking
For visitors who need or wish to drive, UNSW provides a limited number of on-campus car parking spaces. To apply for a parking permit or for any queries please contact Security and Traffic Management.

Parking on the UNSW Kensington campus is free only when parked in a marked bay:

  • outside of the permit hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday
  • on weekends
  • on public holidays (not UNSW holidays).

Valid parking permits must be displayed in accordance with the UNSW Parking Rules between the hours of 7.30am and 7.30pm Monday to Friday. UNSW is a Restricted Parking Area and parking is only permissible in marked bays. Parking outside of a marked bay is strictly prohibited and will incur a fine.

To assist with the management of UNSW permits, Security and Traffic Management is trialing License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology. Please ensure that your registration plate number matches the registration number printed on your permit. If you are driving a different vehicle, please visit our office with the new registration papers so your details can be updated on the system and a new permit issued. Uber it

From the airport

There are sheltered taxi stands in both the international and domestic airports.
Traveling to Sydney City will cost typically $45-55 (one way).

Uber it
Pick up points are available in both airports. For the domestic terminal, this is the Priority Pick-up Zone. For the international terminal, this is the Express Pick-up zone. Check Uber Fare Estimator to estimate your fare.

Public Transport
Trains are available that travel to many city destinations (including Central Station). There is no train that goes directly to UNSW. Although there are direct buses from the Airport to UNSW, it is faster to travel by train to central and then take a direct bus to the venue (for example).
