Financial support

Limited financial assistance in the form of travel support is available to enable Panel and SSG members and project leads to attend the GEWEX Panel and/or SSG meeting in-person.  
 
We strongly encourage the applicant to secure a significant proportion of support from national or institutional sources as well, as the financial support granted by the organizing committee will usually not cover the entire cost of attending the meeting.

Your financial support application

The deadline for applying for travel support is one month before the start date of the meeting, unless otherwise indicated by the International GEWEX Project Office. Applicants for financial assistance will be notified of their application in the week following the deadline for applying for financial assistance.

After the meeting, you will receive additional information about the reimbursement process.
Make sure to keep your travel and accommodation receipts available for submission.
Note that reimbursement is based on actual costs with an awarded maximum.

*You are deemed an ECR if you are an undergraduate or postgraduate (M.Sc./Ph.D.) student or a scientist who has received his or her highest degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) within the past six years.
If parental leave fell in this period, up to one year of parental leave time may be added per child, up to a maximum of four years.
